- NTWG will operate (2) Special Event amateur radio stations using the W5B callsign. All persons interested in amateur radio, weather spotting, and related activities are invited to review the station operations and become acquainted with ham radio operation and services. Information on becoming a licensed amateur radio operator and/or weather spotter will be provided. Amateur radio stations in almost every state and several foreign countries will be contacted. A commenorative QSL card and/or certificate will be provided to amateur radio operators making a successful contact with the W5B stations and furnishing a SASE.
Directions
- Harwood Park is located on the East side of Hwy 114/101 in Bridgeport. The Special Event amateur radio stations will be setup under (2) easy-up pavillions located immediately behind the covered park pavillion at the intersection of Cates and 10th Street. The tri-band antenna and tower should be visible from anywhere in the park.
